Dear brothers and sisters:
It’s often said, our eyes is a window to our mind. Vision is the primary element we use to trace out the world. Light projects the world in our brain through our eyes. At the same time, our emotions and thoughts can also be reflected through the state of our eyes.
However, to those who are born blind, this essential tool for communicating with the world is a difficult concept, an unattainable myth. Even though they’ve heard of how light can turn their darkness into many beautiful colors, but in reality, they are unable to imagine a world with light. Faced with this hopeless situation, only one from God was once able to use His powers to completely heal a man born blind. That one was Jesus.
In order to better understand this amazing miracle, we will be studying John 9: 1-41 this Friday. Through reading this passage, hopefully we will be able to not only familiarize ourselves with the story, but also open our eyes in search of the true Light. Because, those who choose not to see are those who are the most blind. May God heal all those that seek Him so that we may see His presence.
