转眼这个学期过去了多半,第二轮的midterm又来了.希望大家都能够借着主的力量,顺利的通过term test,完成Project.在上周的活动里,我们恢复了小组的形式,而本周我们将继续以小组的形式进行活动,同时这也是这个学期我们最后一次的小组讨论,希望喜欢cell group形式的朋友不要错过这最后一次的活动哦~~之后我们将再次回到集体活动的形式, 一样也会很有趣的!!这个星期,我们三个不同的细胞小组的主题分别是:

1)  Maggie姐
2) 灵命根基 – 罪
3) 查经 – 约拿书4章

相信大家对我们的 cell group已经非常熟悉了,也选择了合适自己的小组.那么让我们在这一次的活动中有更好的交流,在和老朋友熟悉的同时了解更多关于信仰的问题~ 我们也非常欢迎新朋友加入我们, 通过我们的活动对神和基督教信仰有更多的了解!!

Wow, time is flying past us! More than half of our semester has gone by, and we are in the season for the second round of midterms and assignments. We sincerely hope that everyone can rely on the Lord’s strength for your tests and projects! Same as last week, we are continuing with our cell group activities. As well, this will the last time we are having cell groups this year. We will be moving on to large group activities in the latter weeks, so if you have enjoyed the cell groups, we hope that you won’t miss out this week~~~ ! This week, the three cell groups will be the following:

1). Sister Maggie
2). Foundations of Faith – Sin
3). Bible Study – Jonah Chapter 4

We hope that everyone is really familiar with our cell groups, and you have gotten to know your group mates better~ So let us have a great time together in discussing our faith! If you are a new friend, no worries! We would love for you to join us to learn more about God, who loves and looks after each and every one of us every second of everyday!

在过去的几周里,我们组织了各种丰富的活动,希望能给大家一贯的生活带来一丝不一样的感觉.这个星期,我们将会再次回到小组活动的形式,同样的,我们还是将分成三个不同的细胞小组:

2) 灵命根基 – 教会生活
3) 查经 – 约拿书3章

有了之前2次的小组活动,相信大家对我们的小组已经熟悉,也根据自己的兴趣选择了合适自己的小组.那么这一次我们希望大家能回到自己熟悉的组员中，一起继续探讨神的话语！同时, 我们也非常欢迎新朋友加入我们, 不论你是想来了解一下我们的团契，想对基督教信仰有更好的了解, 还是希望和大家一起学习圣经, 我们都很期待与你们在周五相聚!!  望大家都能从神的话语中得到力量!!

In the past few weeks we have organized various different activities, have you enjoyed them all? This Friday we are going back into our cell group activities. As before, we will be splitting into three cell groups:

1). Brother Liwei
2). Foundations of Faith – Life and the Church
3). Bible Study – Jonah Chapter 3

Having had two weeks of cell group activities a few weeks back, we hope that everyone has become familiar with our cell group agenda. At the same time, we hope that you have found a cell group that you enjoy; and so we urge you to join the group of sisters and brothers you have become familiar with, and study God’s words together! As well, we welcome any new friends to join us this Friday, whether you are here to get to know our fellowship, to understand Christianity, or to study the scripture of the Bible with a group, we are all looking forward to meeting you! We hope that everyone can receive strength from the Lord’s words!

约翰福音8章12节中说“我是世界的光，跟从我的，就不在黑暗里走，必要得着生命的光”。在没有认识神之前，我们的生命都走在黑暗之中，我们应该怎样去抓住这束生命之光呢？我们的信仰又是建立在怎样的基础之上？

在这周五3月9日的布道会中，我们请到了多伦多大学土木工程专业的校友徐武豪博士，来为我们解开信仰的源头！信是有原,但同时信是有缘,希望借着这次机会,大家能够更加的了解我们的信仰,了解神对我们无比大的恩典!欢迎大家和我们一起来探索寻找基督教信仰的确据。

In the Scripture of John 8:12, Jesus said “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Before we know the Lord, we are walking in the darkness, but once we hear His words, how can we hold tight to Jesus, the light of life? On what foundations do we establish our faith? This week on Friday March 9th, we are hosting a large speaker event with the University of Toronto Civil Engineering alumnus, Dr. William Tsui, who will unveil to us the basis of the Christian faith! We welcome all of you to joins us at this event, and to discover your own reasons to believe!

人生中有很多的抉择，怎样可以做出最好最恰当的选择呢？相信很多同学在需要做出选择的时候，都希望可以明白从神而来的旨意。可是，神的旨意究竟是什么？在出现不同选择的时候，我们又该怎样去分辨我们自己的意愿和神的旨意？神的旨意应该如何明白，从何入手？在这周的团契活动，我们特意请了MCCF的导师来帮助我们更好地了解神的旨意，欢迎大家来参加周五晚上的讲座–如何明白神的旨意。

How do we make the best out of the choices laid out in front of us? For many of us, we hope to receive guidance and directions from the Lord when we are faced with options. Yet we need to ask ourselves, what is this “guidance” that we seek from our God? How do we distinguish our own desires from the desires of the Lord? How do we understand the will of our God, and where should we start? This week in fellowship, we have invited our chaperone, Steven, to speak to us about understanding the will of God in our lives, and to provide some answers to the above questions. We welcome you all to this Friday’s speaker event: How to understand God’s will!

马 上就到令人振奋的Reading Week了, 相信大部分的同学在这个星期都经历了”黎明前的黑暗”.这个星期是忙碌而充实的，也希望大家在每一门课的考试中都取得理想的成绩!!! 在沉重的一周即将 过去之时，我们决定给大家提供一个放松的机会，用一部精彩的电影来缓解大家这周的疲劳!!!

这次我们介绍给大家的电影叫做”面对巨人”，是 一部关于运动与信仰的影片.影片讲述了一位教练，在面对自己球队屡败屡战的成绩时，是如何重拾勇气与信心，用信仰击败恐惧的.其实在我们的生活中，也会常 常有面对的”巨人”的时候，可那些并不是我们真正面对的巨人，而是我们内心因恐惧而形成的虚假影像，真正的巨人是我们内心的软弱和恐惧.欢迎大家和我们一 起观看这部电影，并且从主人公的身上学到信仰的力量!!!

It’s almost time for reading week! Finally a break from all the midterms and assignments! This week has been busy but filled with God’s blessing, and wish everyone will get the best results. As the end of this “horrible” week, we decided to treat everyone with a wonderful movie, so we can take a rest from those heavy workloads!

The movie we’ll watch is called “Facing the Giants”, which is about a coach whom used his undying faith to battle the giants of fear and failure. We also face many of these “giants” in our daily lives, but what they really reflect is the fear and weakness we feel deep inside us. So please join and watch this movie with us, so we can together learn how to defeat these giants by using the power of faith!

转眼间，开学已经一个月了。随着期中考试来临的压力，愿大家在学业上都能有良好的效率和充沛的精力~~ 希望上两周来团契的朋友们都在轻松的小组时间里对基督信仰有了更好的认识！

在 这情人节的前期，MCCF这周五会为大家举办一次关于恋爱与交友的讲座。我们的讲员将会是一对从多大毕业的夫妇，Grace和Charlton。 Grace曾经在多大学习Occupational Therapy，而Charlton是Engineering Science的毕业生，现在AMD工作。在讲述圣经的指导与基础同时，他们还会跟我们分享一些自己的亲身经历，讲解神是怎样带领他们度过生活上的每个喜 怒哀乐。

无论你是否在恋爱和交友当中，这周的讲座都会帮助你寻求一份受神所祝福的爱情！

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Another week has gone by and it’s almost time for our weekly fellowship again! For those who came to fellowship for the past two weeks, we hope you were all able to get to know God better through the family time in cell groups!

Since Valentine’s Day is approaching, MCCF will be hosting a special seminar on love and relationships. The speakers will be Grace and Charlton, a happily married couple who are both graduates from U of T.  While at U of T, Grace specialized in occupational therapy, while Charlton was an Engineering Science student. In addition to outlining guiding principles from the Bible, their talk will be filled with anecdotes from their own life, which testifies how God was able to help them out in many aspects of their relationship.

Regardless of whether or not you in a relationship now, this week’s seminar will serve as a guidance for everyone who seeks a healthy relationship that is blessed by God.

How’s your week so far? Are you buried in assignments and midterms? Or are you staying up late in the library to catch up on readings? Regardless your work at hand, remember to take good care of you body and get enough rest~ especially in this time of the year when the weather is so unpredictable, beware of the cold! Good health is essential to everything we do!

In last week’s fellowship, we divided everyone into three different cell groups for the first time. We hope you all liked this new format and are looking forward to another week of exciting cell group activities!

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful Chinese New Year celebration!  As the New Year unveils, MCCF is proud to present to you a new fellowship format. From this week onwards, MCCF’s small group events will be divided into 3 different cell groups that allow everyone to find the optimal environment for themselves to learn about God.  No matter if you just want to know more about Christianity, or hope to establish a better foundation of faith, or want to systematically study the Bible, our family is here to accompany you together!

随着考试和作业的出现,春节的脚步也近了~~~虽然2012已经开始,但在中国人的传统中,春节才是真正的新年! 今年的春节比往年稍早一些,但愿在春节的时候,大家没有接踵而至的考试做” 礼物” ~~~虽然没有春节长假,无法体验”春运”的拥挤,更没有国内的节日气氛,但我们都不会忘了这个重要的节日.在这个团聚的节日里, 希望MCCF能成为大家心灵的家和归属, 随着春节的到来带给大家亲情和温暖！

在本周五的活动中,我们特别邀请了华人福音堂的黄牧师,来为我们讲解“三位一体的神”.在之前的活动中,我们常常会提到“圣父” “圣子”  “圣灵”  “三位一体”这样的词,相信有不少同学都对这样的词既熟悉又陌生.熟悉是因为我们经常会用到这些词,而陌生却是因为我们并不是那么清楚这些词背后意义.欢迎大家来参与到我们的讨论中,对“三位一体的真神”有更正确深刻的理解.

As the start of the semester kicks in, more and more assignments and tests just seem to pop up in our schedule. But at the same time, Chinese New Year is drawing near! Even though the year 2012 has started, according to our Chinese traditional calendar this is the true New Years! Unlike previous years, this year Chinese New Year is at an earlier date so hopefully none of us will be getting midterms as “presents”! Despite the lack of the long Chinese winter break, the (thankful) escape from overcrowded transportation back home, and the absence of a festive atmosphere, we will never forget this important festival. We hope that at this time of family gathering MCCF will become a home where our hearts belong, and as our Chinese New Year comes closer MCCF will bring warmth and joy to all!

For our activity this Friday, we have invited Reverend C.K.Wong from Chinese Gospel Church to speak to us about the “Holy Trinity”. During many of our previous gatherings, we have mentioned the word “The Father”, “The Son”, “Holy Spirit”, and “Holy Trinity”. I am sure that to many of us, these words are both familiar and mysterious; familiar because we have used and encountered them so many times, but also mysterious because we often do not know the meanings behind them. We welcome everyone this Friday to join us in this discussion, and to develop a deeper understanding of the “Holy Trinity”.

Happy New Year 2012 everyone!!  Hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas holiday and is ready for a new semester of school! With the start of the new school year, MCCF’s weekly gathering has also returned~~ Following our tradition, we’ll be meeting every Friday night.

Our first event of the year will be a night of family sharing! We welcome everyone to talk about their adventures during the holidays, plans for the following term, or just general experiences in their life that they find interesting.  God’s hand works through our daily lives and it is through recounting the details of our lives together that we see His unending love most clearly.  Therefore, we welcome everyone, new friends and old friends alike, to come and share our blessings together as part of our big MCCF family ~~~
